Welcome to Bhauji's Garden "All Poetry is the beginning of love poetry. Love poetry is song; and the song of the heart yearning for The Beloved is The Greatest Love Song." Bhauji's Garden is an epic poem that expresses dedication, emotion and above all else, love. In an effort spanning two year's time, Marcellus Martyr composed this piece as he drew inspiration from Bhau Kalchuri's Meher Sarod. Each quatrain was written, punctually, between the hours of 4am and 5am each morning, after some reflection on Bhau's Ghazels. Jeff Wolverton of the Meher Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina says, "Marcellus Martyr has made a beautifully poetic and sensitive effort in capturing the subtlety and nuances of mystical love expressed by Bhau Kalchuri..." Jeff also writes that, "... for those who have begun to glimpse the rarefied presence of the Divine Beloved in their lives, these compelling translations will further fan the flame of longing to draw closer to its exquisitely painful magnificence." One thing is for certain, Martyr's compelling song is sure to light a fire within your heart. If you'd like to read some passages from this epic, please go to Selections From: Bhauji's Garden.
